“Manufacturing in the Caribbean for the Caribbean”
CLL commenced manufacturing commercial, industrial and residential LED lighting in August 2011. We are specialist in LED lighting and from our Barbados headquarters we manufacture and export currently to 16 countries.
We have grown significantly each year and we are considered to be one of the fastest growing companies in the Caribbean region. We expanded our manufacturing facility in 2013, doubling our floor space. We have offices and staff in St. Lucia and distributors in Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent, Antigua, Guyana, St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Turks & Caicos, Dominica and Jamaica.
In 2013 we won the Compete Caribbean Innovation Award for our off grid renewable energy (RE) system called WinSun. This was the first time a Barbados company has ever won the award.
In 2014 we began our partnership with LED Roadway Lighting LTD (LRL) who are headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We now manufacture the NXT range of LED street lights and operate as the regional manufacturing partner for LRL. We have, to date, supplied Barbados Light & Power, an EMERA Group company, with over 1600 NXT LED street lights. WE have also supplied to GRENLEC (Grenada), Nevis (NEVLEC), LUCELEC (St. Lucia), VINLEC (St. Vincent) and in 2016 won the tender to supply Grand Bahamas Light & Power with the award winning NXT series LED street light. We currently have two pilot projects running in Suriname and Guyana.
In 2015 we won the UNDP tender to supply LED street lighting to Antigua and Dominica; in addition to commercial LED lighting for government buildings in Grenada, St. Lucia and Barbados.
In September 2015 Ban Ki Moon, UN Secretary General, visited our factory in recognition to our progress and success in helping Barbados and the Caribbean region become more energy efficient and sustainable. In 2016 we grew by over 80% and see the growth continuing in the years ahead.
